On 11 August 2025, JSW School of Law marked a historic milestone with the formal welcome of its first cohort of graduate students to the inaugural LL.M./MLS programme in Climate Change and Environmental Law.
The welcome ceremony was led by Dean Sangay Dorjee, who delivered an inspiring address encouraging students to fully embrace the unique academic opportunities offered by the programme. He urged them to lead with vision and purpose in responding to the pressing environmental challenges facing the world today.
The pioneering cohort comprises six talented and passionate students from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to environmental justice and sustainable governance. Over the next ten months, they will engage with renowned global experts, participate in experiential fieldwork in Bhutan and Thailand, and develop the skills and knowledge needed to address some of the most urgent climate and environmental issues of our time.
JSW Law warmly welcomes this inaugural cohort to the JSW Law family and looks forward to the meaningful impact they will make as future leaders in climate change and environmental law.
